How To Cancel Your Prime Membership On A Computer
If you've decided you're finished using your Amazon Prime membership and want to cancel, doing so is pretty straightforward. To begin, you'll need to head over to Amazon's website, and navigate to the Your Account page. You can do this by clicking on the bit at the top that says, "Hello, (your name)" next to the language you're using for the site and your shopping cart.
Prime is right in the top row of these options, so click "Prime" to head into the page that lets you peek at your account. At the top of this page, you'll see your name, your plan, your current membership renewal date, and the final section on the gray bar here is Manage Membership. Below it, you'll see a dropdown arrow, so expand the menu of options by clicking "Update, cancel, and more."
After expanding the menu, you'll see a variety of ways to change your Amazon Prime membership. If you're not sure on canceling yet, you can choose to pause your subscription instead, but to cancel your Amazon Prime membership outright, choose the bottom option that says, "End Membership."
Amazon will try to bait you into staying by showing off the benefits of being an Amazon Prime member, but you'll find three yellow buttons at the bottom of this graphic. You can have Amazon remind you to cancel closer to the renewal date, check out different offers, or Continue to Cancel with the final yellow button in the row.
Any portion of your membership that hasn't been used will be refunded, and your subscription ends immediately after you confirm the decision.
How To Cancel Your Prime Membership On Your Phone
To cancel your Amazon Prime membership on your iPhone, you'll need to open the Amazon app as normal. From the app's home screen, click the three horizontal bars on the utility bar at the bottom of your screen, which opens plenty of extra options about your account and how you shop on Amazon.
From here, expand the Prime category, which may or may not be in your bookmarks already. If not, you can find it in the Shop by Categories section. On this strikingly blue menu, you'll need to click the arrow next to Prime on the top utility bar, next to "Explore My Benefits." Doing so opens a drop-down menu that allows you to Manage My Membership.
Here, you'll need to expand the Manage Membership option, which shows you a collection of options like your payment plan, the renewal date for your account, and the Manage Membership option.
Here, click End Membership, scroll to the bottom of the page of info about your benefits, and click the Continue to Cancel option. You'll have one more chance to change your mind, then you'll choose the yellow End Membership Now button to finalize everything.
If you're an Android user who signed up for your Amazon Prime membership while you were using the Amazon app on your Android device, you'll instead need to manage your Google Subscriptions to cancel your membership instead.
