Last week I had the pleasure of partnering with one of our Employee Networks to equip our 2024 interns with tools, information, insight and support before hitting the desk! At BofA, we are big on support and helping provide resources and guidance to set each other up for success! Welcome again 2024 summer class! You’re off to a great start! Nostalgia at its finest! Thank you Cardinal Spellman HS for having me as an honored alumni and guest speaker for the annual Career Day!To be quite frank, this was such an emotional experience for me! Growing up my parents always ensured that I understood the importance of a great education! Their investment in me has always stemmed from them wholeheartedly supporting my dreams and goals of being successful! I attended one of the most prestigious high schools in my community because my parents understood that my future would be based on the knowledge, resources and tools I could have access to and carry with me!Cardinal Spellman was always filled with teachers and faculty that prided themselves on a culture of challenge and excellence both academically and developmentally! Most of my teachers and Deans felt like family! At times they showed me tough love and other times unwavering support! I can honestly say that I entered Spellaman’s bronze doors as a kid and left as a mature adult ready to embark on my college journey! With that being said, this meant the world to me! To be the person providing insight and guidance to students whose shoes I once filled was truly an indescribable experience! I saw my younger self in those students, unsure of what would happen after high school and what it would be like in the “real world.” Thanks to Spellman, I have been able to navigate both my college journey and career and now help make an impact on my fellow Spellmanites’ next steps!Truly grateful!
